Joy of Vox is made up of 130 members of all vocal abilities

For the past four years, an eclectic group of singers of all vocal abilities have met every Thursday night in Saskatoon to sing their hearts out.
Saskatoon's Joy of Vox choir group is getting ready to show people in Moose Jaw and Saskatoon how far their work has come.
BJ Harris, director of Joy of Vox, said the group has grown to 130 members.
"We range in ability from people who have Grade 10 Royal Conservatory (of Music) and voice to, 'Yeah, I sing in the shower.' "- BJ Harris
"A lot of people who are at the age where they've booted the last kid out of the house off to work or to university and they've said, 'What am I going to do now?'" Harris told Saskatchewan Weekend host Eric Anderson. "It's been pretty neat running into people."

Harris said the group has grown by 20 to 30 members each year. Siobhan Brennan is one of the members who said the singing in the group is a great way to move on from a stressful work week.
"I love music. I've always been involved in music," Brennan said. "This choir really brings something special to the musical world. It's a huge choir."
Harris said they're looking for people who just want to come out and enjoy themselves.
"We range in ability from people who have Grade 10 Royal Conservatory (of Music) and voice to, 'Yeah, I sing in the shower,' " he said.
Joy of Vox will be performing a concert in Moose Jaw tonight at Zion United Church. It starts at 7 p.m. CST. It's also a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity.
They'll return home to Saskatoon for two Christmas shows on Friday, Dec. 11 and Saturday, Dec. 12 [2015] at Third Avenue United Church.
